The wider adoption of the cloud and APIs communication protocols have made accessing high-resolution satellite imagery increasingly easier. However, many constraints are still holding back the potential of downstream earth observation. Data searching, purchasing and management processes are time-consuming and cumbersome especially for regular desktop GIS users. In this talk, we share the main learnings and use cases of developing the new UP42’s ArcGIS Pro add-in. This add-in aims at allowing users to access to satellite data in ArcGIS Pro through the UP42 geospatial developer platform.
