- ArcGIS Pro Configuration to Support an ArcGIS Utility Network Migration
Puget Sound Energy prioritized configuration and GIS best practices in their migration from Smallworld to the ArcGIS Utility Network. Two of the mapping hurdles they faced included being able to quickly switch between “views of their data” and the technician's expected level of control of text placement on the map. A combination of editing focused fields and streamlined label configuration allowed them to move away from feature-linked annotation and towards dynamic labeling. Consistent naming conventions of definition queries and display queries to store map settings replicated stored map settings.
