In this session you will discover how GIS based mobile applications have enabled digital workflows focused on data collection and asset management within treatment facilities. Presenters will share how they were able to quickly collect asset information, including condition data to build a GIS-based asset registry. There will also be discussion focused on integration with their CMMS, enabling seamless data exchange and data-driven asset management.

  • Building a Smarter Sewer: MetroConnects' Journey to the Utility Network
    MetroConnects partnered with the Timmons Group to migrate from the Geometric Network to the ArcGIS Utility Network, transforming wastewater asset, operations, and customer management. The project included branch versioning, schema redesign, and integrations with Cityworks AMS, PLL, GraniteNet, and 811 services. Focused, role-based training helped staff adopt new Utility Network workflows, improving data accuracy, operational efficiency, and network traceability across the utility.

  • Cutting-Edge Solutions: Integrating Utility Network with Cityworks and Survey123
    At Providence Water, completing the ArcGIS Utility Network migration marked the beginning of an innovation journey. To ensure business rules and asset data reflected real-world operations, we developed in-house solutions using Esri tools. A feature ID automation script linked all assets to Cityworks, ensuring visibility for maintenance and work management. The ArcGIS Survey123-based Validation Form, enhanced with custom JavaScript, empowered staff to review and correct data collaboratively. These solutions strengthened data integrity, transparency, and collaboration across teams.
