- Smart Vegetation Management: LiDAR Enhancing Power Transmission ReliabilityAXIA’s Vegetation Management System (SGV) is a digital solution to mitigate risks to power transmission assets caused by vegetation interference. The system integrates LiDAR, drones and satellite imagery to generate high‑precision 3D models that measure the distance between vegetation and energized conductors. This predictive and preventive approach enables targeted maintenance, improves operational efficiency, enhances grid reliability and supports sustainable asset management in the electricity sector.

- AI-Powered Ash Dieback Detection for Railway Infrastructure Risk ManagementIrish Rail manages 2,300km of railway corridors where ash dieback disease poses critical safety risks. Traditional manual surveys are time-consuming and inconsistent. We developed an AI classification system using ArcGIS Pro's deep learning framework to detect disease severity from drone imagery. The model analyzes spectral and structural patterns to classify trees across four severity levels, enabling prioritized interventions. This approach reduces survey time. The methodology demonstrates AI integration within ArcGIS and is transferable to other infrastructure operators.
