A lack of standardisation in how data is structured, managed and shared during construction can lead to inefficiencies, increased costs and elevated interface and handover risks. - Improving Subsea Cable Route Assessment Through GIS-Based Ground ModelsWe present an ArcGIS Pro workflow that integrates geophysical and geotechnical survey data for subsea cable route assessment. By combining Sub-Bottom Profiler (SBP) interpretations, bathymetry, boreholes, CPTs, and ground modelling in a single GIS environment, the workflow improves data visualization, quality control, and interpretation. It supports route-aligned geological assessments, validation of SBP results against geotechnical data, and continuous model refinement, reducing data transfer between software packages and improving confidence in routing and burial decisions.
