January 7th, 2025 saw the start what may end up being the most expensive natural disasters in California history, the Eaton and Palisades fires. Less well-known is that February 12th saw one of the strongest recent rain events, with a potential for massive debris flows and damage.
Mark Greninger will discuss his personal story, and how GIS provided a shared platform for integrating data that improved preparation, coordination, and response to the fires, and how GIS is aiding recovery and rebuilding.
