The FDNY Incident Management Team supported Buncombe County, NC, after Hurricane Helene. Working with local and state officials, the County EOC, and Sheriff’s Office, they coordinated a multi-agency response. Tasks included setting up community care stations, managing points of distribution, overseeing medical shelters, conducting post emergency canvassing, and ensuring fire and EMS services. Challenges were agency coordination, data streamlining, and communication enhancement. Esri ArcGIS improved decision-making and resource allocation, fostering effective collaboration and recovery.
