This session will walk through the application of emergency management practices and principles to utility GIS efforts and workflows. It will highlight the fundamentals of an EM response and show how utilities can apply planning, mitigation, response, and recovery practices within their departments. Examples of utility GIS projects within each of these areas will be showcased to help participants identify tools and processes they might find helpful when preparing for emergency situations on their systems.
