Digital Twins with ArcGIS: LiDAR, BIM, and 3D for Project Insights

- Maximizing the Value of BIM, GIS, and Digital Twins on Major Transit Projects
Arup has developed a Digital Twin Proof of Concept (PoC) of the Eglinton Crosstown West Extension transit project. Using the ACC and Esri ArcGIS, the project’s geospatial and design information can be fully realized in 3D and interacted with by diverse stakeholders. Designers can review the latest design compared to property information and understand downstream impacts of design choices. Real-time feedback loops using site photos can be explored temporally and spatially. A broad group of project users can track conflicts within the geospatial twin that sync to Autodesk Construction Cloud.

- From Nothing to Digital Twin in 30 minutes: An Infrastructure FocusBuilding a digital twin doesn’t need to be a years-long endeavor. In this rapid-fire, infrastructure-focused session, we’ll demonstrate how to go from zero to a digital twin in under 30 minutes using Esri’s powerful tool set. Starting with high-resolution reality capture, we’ll showcase how ArcGIS Reality Studio is used to generate rich 3D meshes from aerial imagery. From there, content is seamlessly published to ArcGIS Online and ArcGIS Enterprise, enabling secure sharing, collaboration, and integration with business-critical systems like asset management, IoT platforms, and field operations.
