The AURA XR SYSTEMS prototype integrates GIS, BIM, IoT, photogrammetry, and LiDAR with Unreal Engine’s plug-ins and AI-driven spatial queries. At AURA we have developed geospatial pipelines that create a user-friendly, AI-enhanced environment for integrating GIS layers and contextualizing BIM models. Our AI Research Engine restructures environmental data into geospatial formats, enabling immersive, AI-informed visualization for urban planning and analysis. By prioritizing data interoperability, AURA offers a next generation geodesign experience.

- Beyond the Acre. Using AI for Land Use Determinations
Explaining a successful AI project by the Tippecanoe County Assessor’s Office addressing recent legal interpretations of property tax assessments related to "curtilage" under Indiana law. Traditionally, assessors granted the first acre of land as homestead property. However, recent court rulings clarified that curtilage can extend beyond one acre, necessitating a more precise assessment method. The challenge was to create a fair and equitable approach to determine curtilage boundaries, moving away from arbitrary assessments to ensure consistency and equity in property taxation.
