- Biological Field Studies using ArcGIS Field Maps for Renewable Energy Facilities
Pre- and post-construction biological field studies are an integral part of project development/operations for renewable energy facilities. Field data was previously conducted using a combination of paper datasheets, standalone GPS units, and digital cameras. In order to streamline and modernize, we implemented an Esri COTS solution. We used ArcGIS Field Maps and ArcGIS Survey123 (field collection), ArcGIS Online Web Apps (data QA), ArcGIS Enterprise/Portal (data storage), and SQL Reporting (reporting).
