Explore essential facets of carbon mitigation and marine carbon uptake, with a focus on leveraging ArcGIS Pro tools for modeling carbon mitigation potential across varied restoration scenarios. Delve into the complexities of budgeting marine carbon uptake in coastal seas, utilizing ArcGIS ML tools to enhance baseline observations and offer comprehensive insights into the spatiotemporal dynamics of oceanic carbon uptake.

- Carbon Mitigation Potential in Two Restoration Scenarios in the Paramo(Colombia)
A model was developed to understand the carbon mitigation potential in two restoration scenarios in the Paramo ecosystem. The variables were processed in ArcGIS Pro tools such as ArcGIS Spatial Analyst and spatial statistics. As results, the above ground biomass will be reduced due to changes in the natural land cover, while the soil carbon will increase because the influence of climatic variables. In addition, by 2050 year, in one scenario, the carbon accumulated in the soil is approximately 50% of the total value of the accumulation potential and in the other scenario is near to 85%.
