The Military Police of Paraná practiced Evidence-Based Policing using the ArcGIS system to perform operations management analysis and detailed geographic prioritization of vehicle action. The strategy was to identify crime hotspots in the city of Curitiba and increase regular police patrols in those areas After monitoring the results and applying specific study techniques using the analytical capabilities of ArcGIS PRO, it was possible to measure crime reduction results of around 20% in the areas where the evidence-based policing was used to manage patrol routes.

The San Francisco Police Department Technology Team will guide you through our journey of how SFPD solely leveraged ArcGIS Pro for several years, until our team implemented ArcGIS Enterprise Department wide.  We will walk you through our challenges and how we overcame them but more importantly focus on our achievements.  We will also discuss and share our Dashboards, plus how they were released to our department to help keep San Francisco safe.
