From 2019 to 2024, Australia experienced a series of severe bushfires and floods, straining existing situational awareness services for disaster response and recovery. This presentation will outline how Geoscience Australia has responded to these challenges to facilitate new 'analysis-ready insights' supporting improved decision-making across the disaster continuum. It will highlight the role of spatially enabled imagery services in providing new insights and emphasize the importance of user engagement, collaboration, and testing in enhancing the Australian Government’s insight capabilities.
