EMS is a fast paced industry where seconds count. Efficiency is key in all aspects to reduce response times and provide the best service possible. Staffing shortages at local hospitals have resulted in problems with ERs becoming overloaded and unable to efficiently handle new patient arrivals. This session highlights how Chatham EMS in Savannah, GA sought to address turnaround delays with local hospitals and empower them to monitor and report their diversion statuses. This ArcGIS solution ties in several key applications to keep hospital administrators and local providers alike in-sync.

DC Fire & EMS Dept partnered w/ the Office of the Chief Technology Officer to integrate mapping CAD data w/ third-party systems data into a solution that integrates all facets of the DC FEMS Whole Blood program into a singular, organized, easily viewed and analyzed platform.  This solution is critical for the program to monitor chain of custody for the whole blood units, detect temperature anomalies, and collect crucial event data for when the blood is transfused.
