The innovation branch of Italy’s National Railway shares a wide range of geospatial tools used for infrastructure development and management.

  • SBBIMAGE: Combining Orthomosaics in Consistent and Up-To-Date Image Services
    The new SBBIMAGE service provides easy access to the orthomosaics of the SBB. It consists of products with different levels of accuracy, seamlessly integrated into the SBB software. The combination of images extracted from an internal geodata hub and processed with ArcGIS Enterprise and FME provides consistent and up-to-date unified products, eliminating the need for laborious searches. With regular automatic updates, SBBIMAGE improves decision-making based on spatial analysis and supports activities such as inventory modelling, infrastructure design and maintenance, and intervention planning.
