Breaking Down Silos by Integrating Business Systems
Presentations
- Bridging the Gap between Asset Management and Customer Care in a Utility CompanyBy bridging ESRI GIS infrastructure and ERP, EYATh is aspiring to joining the operational aspect of procedures (asset management) with the business aspect (customer data), establishing bidirectional data flow between GIS (Technical Data Warehouse) and ERP (Customer Data Warehouse). Complete integration between these Information Systems, corresponds to full scale procedure integration within the company, allowing customer data (water consumptions, billing, customer profile) to be linked to asset management and network maintenance procedures to be linked to customer care (customer claims).

- The Way of WaterThis is a story of a journey of the city of Jihlava as the owner of water management infrastructure and its maintenance using Esri technology (it was also covered in Esri Success Stories). It is also a story of discovering Esri platform complexity, of our professional growth and of using GIS as a powerful tool. It is a story of our cooperation and mutual inspiration. From the beginning we have been trying to open the eyes of people from the administration of water management infrastructure to make them see and understand what GIS can do.
