- Optimizing Valve Closure Coordination and Valve Asset Management With ArcGIS
WaterOne leverages ArcGIS to optimize both stakeholder coordination during short-term valve closures and asset management of over 50,000 system valves. WaterOne improved operations by enabling field crews to update valve "current operating status" in ArcGIS Field Maps and by displaying these valve statuses, through special symbology, in GIS Viewers ensuring everyone has the same operational picture. Additionally, temporarily closing a valve and opening it appropriately logs the valve as "exercised" improving valve asset management. An ArcGIS Dashboard is used for valve asset management analytics.

- GIS Unidirectional Flushing (UDF) Solution for Pasadena Water and PowerUDF is an efficient method for cleaning water distribution pipes. Pasadena Water has implemented the GIS UDF Solution, which integrates maps, applications, analytics tools, and data models. Each UDF project is meticulously planned and integrated into the Utility Network. This transparency and accessibility enhance collaboration and communication. The successful deployment of the GIS Solution has demonstrated the value of integrating advanced technology into water management practices. This has resulted in improved water quality, significant cost savings, and greater operational efficiency.
