- Utilizing ArcGIS Urban for Fiscal Analysis
The City of Fate, TX conducts a fiscal analysis on proposed developments. In 2023, the City began to utilize ArcUrban to improve the fiscal analysis model for evaluating the net gain/loss of proposed developments, starting with Lafayette Crossing; a 267-acre planned development. The City is on of the first using this geodesign ArcUrban approach for the purpose of fiscal analysis. The model allows for a visual representation of the fiscal data rather than solely providing numbers in a spreadsheet. We will be sharing our model on ArcGIS Urban, demonstrating the various capabilities.

- Exploring the Nevada Road System's Resilience to Climate Change
This presentation will focus on a resiliency study of the 5,400 mi road system in Nevada. The study focused on floods, wildfires, and earthquakes and used City Simulator – a novel decision support tool developed by AtkinsRealis. City Simulator was used to simulate these events impacting the state from 2020-2100, as the state evolves and grows. The result is a unique and detailed depiction of risk across the state and a holistic view of how future geodesign of the road system can reduce risk and ensure safety of the traveling public.
