The mission of the FAA Technical Operations (Tech OPs) workforce is to ensure a safe and effective National Aerospace System (NAS). Within Tech Ops, the UAS Operation Program, AJW-124 is leveraging Geographic Information Systems (GIS) with remote sensing and small UAS (sUAS) Technologies, to deliver new NAS insights and drive business intelligence in direct support of maintaining and modernizing the NAS. It is as much about the next exciting leap forward as it is repurposing the familiar into the unexpected, ensuring the next progressive level of safety, efficiency, environmental responsibility, and global leadership are achieved.
