Presentations
- Dashboards for DredgingA presentation of tools designed to help engineers better understand the implications of each windfarm cable layout on dredging requirements. A profile tool and dashboard where created in this project. Technically this presented a number of geospatial challenges including novel raster analysis, custom JavaScript development to display multiple profiles and a hybrid approach where mathematical operations are carried out in a desktop environment, but results can be viewed and manipulated in a web tool to maximise performance, ease of use and accessibility.

- Heatmapping Seabed Risk for Offshore Wind DevelopmentSiting of offshore wind infrastructure relies not only on the presence of GIS data, but the effective interpretation of it. Effective installation of offshore substation platforms relies on the harmonisation of several sub-seabed and seabed conditions, referred to as constraints. This session will explore the conditions considered for offshore substation platform installation, such as minimum water depth, shallow bedrock and hard sediments, seabed targets, and wrecks. The constraints are combined and converted into a suitability heatmap using Esri’s Suitability Modeller in ArcGIS Pro.
