This session shows how one jurisdiction uses GIS to educate the public on the impacts of the recent redistricting process and how the other uses maps and apps to manage its election-day activities.

- 2022 Redistricting Map Hub: Improving Voter Access and UnderstandingSt. Louis County, Missouri is one of the most complex counties in the U.S. With one million residents, a myriad of jurisdictions, elected officials, and precincts, boundaries are complicated. 2020 decennial redistricting created even more complexity. To reduce confusion, the Board of Elections created an easy-to-use online map hub with enhanced accessibility for visually impaired users. Using ArcGIS tools, the hub allows users to find their new voting districts using address lookups, see boundary changes with a slider map feature, download data, print maps, and link to election information.
