- Improve and Inform: Supporting Municipal Sanitation Services with ArcGIS
The City of Chamblee provides sanitation services to its residents and this has continued despite a trend of communities ceasing these services or having never provided them at all. To improve efficiency as costs have increased, the City decided to transition from a 5-day service week to 4 days. We used ArcGIS Pro and Network Analyst to explore numerous scenarios to optimize routes for the proposal, and then deployed the My Trash Services ArcGIS Solution to inform the public of service changes.

- Using GIS to Validate Utility Billing Data
The City of Ocala’s utility departments leverage a Customer Information System (CIS) that handles the utility billing for various departments. ArcGIS Online is used increasingly for viewing basic utility data by our utility departments and our customer service office. The need to validate and update our billing data has been answered in many ways by using GIS to visualize our billing data in conjunction with related spatial data. ArcGIS Online maps and apps as well as automated data flows between the systems allows for updating and correcting data.
