- Maps, Apps and Hooks - The Building Blocks of Pasco County's Emergency Response
Utilizing Survey123 and Webhooks to push data into the ESRI suite of online applications, Pasco County has created a response for emergency activations to collect data, distribute to responsible groups, and display in real-time on an emergency operations situational dashboard. Small scripts were incorporated into Survey123 to instantly add building value and geographic information to streamline and QC the addition of data needed for FEMA reporting and damage assessment. Information was also published from WebEOC to align with established State level activation reporting standards.

- How 9-1-1 Can Use Alternate Location Seeking Tools to Find Callers in Distress
Locating callers in distress in a 9-1-1 call can often be a challenge when the caller is calling from an unknown location deep within a woods, or out over the water in the Gulf of Mexico. Having GIS based location tools that are offered by companies such as RapidSOS and what3words have allowed our call takers to quickly and efficiently find a distressed caller quicker, when addresses and landmark identification were not available or helpful. Here at Baldwin County 9-1-1, we'd like to share our story on how we have managed to save lives using these supplemental GIS tools in 9-1-1.
