This presentation will illustrate how the department leverages ArcGIS as a platform to effectively manage infrastructure development to maintain a high standard of living for county residents.

Fairfax County, Virginia began an enterprise GIS modernization in 2019 in order to bring its system up to par with business requirements both current and on the horizon. Michael Liddle, GIS Program Director at Fairfax County, presents his enterprise vision for the county's use of GIS, their path to the deployment of a modernized platform, and the opportunities that come with it. Fairfax County's strategic investment and plan led to massive GIS adoption across departments and executive engagement.
