For over 24 years, Ameren Missouri’s Shoreline Management Office (SMO) at the Lake of the Ozarks, has been successfully using ESRI tools and creating solutions to meet the compliance requirements of the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC). From the initial project acquiring digital data sets for the relicensing effort of the Osage Power Project, through the latest ArcGIS online configuration which is providing information to staff, state and federal agencies, and the public. We will take a look, through time, at the growth and evolution of the SMS software and data.

With the growing number and influence of electric vehicles (EV) on our roadways, there is a significant need to plan for localized energy infrastructure. The two biggest planning challenges are locating EV chargers and estimating charging station costs. GeoDecisions partnered with the National Renewable Energy Laboratory (NREL) to design the Electric Vehicle Infrastructure: Localized Charging Assessment Tool and Estimator (Tool). We will discuss how we successfully collaborated during the customized web-based planning Tool's design, development challenges, and functional utility.
