Western Midstream gathers, compresses, treats, processes, and transports fossil fuels as well as gathers and disposes produced water. We have over a million SCADA data feed that are viewed and monitored by CygNet Vision and OSIsoft PI System. In this study, we added location component and metadata from FLOWCAL for the over 10,000 devices and displayed on a map that allows filtering and tallying. Combined with Geotab vehicle data feed and drivers’ profiles along with pipeline and facility base layers, we can dispatch appropriate personnel when a facility/device requires attention.

Vermont Gas Systems has leveraged GIS to revolutionize the way outages are managed. For years Outage Management was a paper driven process that was time consuming and difficult to manage. In the event of a large outage VGS was dependent on institutional knowledge and a lot of paper, printer ink and phone calls to restore service to customers. Using GIS we've been able to increase efficiency and safety. Field employees are able to view outages and mark progress using Fieldmaps while office personnel are able to monitor progress via dashboards - we also publish public facing maps for customers.
