- The Fort Worth Buildable Lands Inventory: Where to Start Digging
Identifying, analyzing, and mapping land that is suitable for (re)development makes land use planning and economic development more effective, resulting in more informed development decisions, more economic opportunities for businesses and residents, and increased tax base. GIS identified land within Fort Worth that could most effectively and efficiently be (re)developed to accommodate growth that best supports the City’s strategic goals.

- Zen & the Art of Data Maintenance: Cataloging Public Property in New Orleans
Publicly owned property is a city’s most valued asset. The City of New Orleans Department of Property Management needed a more modern way to better track facility and property maintenance internally and report out information publicly. By taking a geographic approach using distributed services and web-based editing in ArcGIS Online, the City has begun developing an inventory of facilities and properties it is responsible for.
