Data can be collected and utilized without being truly managed. Absence of a fully developed data management plan and incomplete workflows will lead to data gaps, and regulatory reporting and TVC needs cannot be met with incomplete data. Continual learning is necessary for conceptualizing beneficial integration of tools like Field Maps and Arrow Gold GNSS. Understanding ESRI resources available helps us leverage GIS tools to increase efficiency and accuracy.

Three years ago, Chevron Pipeline and Power embarked on a journey to move enterprise systems to the Azure Cloud as an effort to break down business and system silos to improve and centralize data access. This talk will focus on the redesign of field mobility data collection by using both Design Thinking and Agile methodologies and highlight the modular workflow opportunities identified by adopting both CartoPac and ESRI Field Maps. We will present the process of the workflow improvements, approval and loaded into the system of record using FME and APR tools.
