In this session the Bp Gulf of Mexico (GoM) team are going to share two user stories with us. First, they will describe how they leverage ArcPy, FME Server and Power Automate to save hundreds of hours in data propcessing to improve the reliability of the GoM geodatabase. Second, they will share how thier Scout Dashboard has revolutionized the competitor intelligence space, by digitizing and consolidating this industry-wide data into a one stop shop of significant business value.

Modernizing Geospatial in Support of Gulf of Mexico Operations

- GOM Data Management: combining power of ArcPy, FME, and Power AutomateThe GOM One Map enterprise Portal is the one-stop shop for a consortium of geospatial datasets in bp. Thus, having reliable and timely data management systems for the portal is crucial to supporting well-informed business decisions. To support such initiative, we designed an automated data ETL workflow to load critical datasets into bp’s enterprise geodatabase. This workflow saved our team hundreds of hours and improved the reliability of the GOM geodatabase. The ESRI ArcPy modules act as the backbone of this workflow with additional supports from FME Server and Power Automate.
