Going from paper to ArcGIS Survey123, these two Cities utilize mobile data collection applications to collect data and visualize it on dashboards. With this change of process, they are able to make data-driven decisions that make a big impact in supporting their communities.

Presentation 1 Abstract:
The City of Reno uses GIS to tackle the issue of Affordable Housing. Starting with a spreadsheet, The City's GIS team was able to create maps, apps and a dashboard, enabling City management to make data-driven decisions regarding location, proximity, and density of affordable housing, while also providing vital information to the public regarding locations and and the types of housing units available.

Presentation 2 Abstract:
The City has identified that time is critical in developing relationships and building trust with individuals experiencing homelessness. The City’s approach ensures that services can be made available immediately. Further, this approach has proven to support the organization with real time data to address service gaps or needs, deploy necessary resources, make impactful decisions to address homelessness and help individuals to move from the streets to shelters, connect to employment, access necessary mental and health services, and move to permanent housing.
