The City of Round Rock implemented a smart parking solution in 2018. However, the visibility of that system and its data was limited to IT staff with access to that server. This presentation will review the process of integrating their smart parking system with ArcGIS, and how the City of Round Rock was able to leverage many components of the ArcGIS platform to bring this solution together.
Tasked with solving a litter problem in one of Sugar Land’s most popular parks, Eldridge Park, the Department of Innovation turned to GIS for data collection, visualization, and analysis of litter data to scope proposed litter abatement solutions. Although it was originally meant to be just data collection, we turned it into a full public campaign built on various ArcGIS tools. The creation of this program allowed staff to shift focus from litter pickup to other park duties. We want to show how ArcGIS tools can be combined for an all-phase program.
