bp intends to invest up to £18 billion in the UK's energy system by 2030, helping the country reach its net zero goals. bp and Aberdeen City Council have joined up to provide energy and mobility solutions to support the transition to net zero by 2045, bp Geospatial provide front end concept delivery teams with an easy-to-use citizen developer toolkit. We also have teams involved in supporting different elements of NZT Power, Northern Endurance Partnership, H2Teesside and HyGreen. This work involves integrating with multiple engineering and feed contractors and making sure the various projects are serviced with the latest relevant geospatial data from offshore 3D seismic data to onshore 3D models. Geospatial support is also playing an integral part of the 3 ongoing offshore wind projects (Morgan, Mona and Morven), supporting safe and efficient survey acquisition, assistance to onshore routing and consenting activities, using some of the latest portal technology. Finally, the retail arm of bp in the UK is also supported by Geospatial, assisting with the intelligent locating and development of EV charging and solar energy sites.
May, 2021 : Total became TotalEnergies. This strategic transformation is to fulfill the mission of providing more affordable, clean and reliable energy to as many people as possible more effectively than ever. The creation of OneTech branch on September 1, 2021 initiates an unprecedented mobilization to meet TotalEnergies’ new challenges to become a major player in the energy transition. OneTech federates all technical and scientific expertise. It comprises 3,300 engineers, technicians and researchers, working on the new challenges faced by TotalEnergies. Geospatial department inside OneTech organization regroups experts from Geospatial operations, technologies and remote sensing to answer all together with one voice to the diverse internal customers and satisfy the new emerging needs of TotalEnergies transition. Geospatial activities centralization allows to answer to internal customers transversely and challenges us to be more efficient. To execute this, Agile methodology has been implemented with different squads and one in particular: customer success squad dedicated to ease and optimize our customers interactions to design new products and adapt company needs.
